Keep Your Money in the Cliff!

It's no secret that a strong community is supported by residents who spend their money in their own neighborhood. To that end, I suggest that business owners large and small, as well as entrepreneurs in Oak Cliff attend "Wake Up Dallas!" on Thursday, October 1. It's an early-morning networker that will be held in the Bank of America Building's Orion Ballroom (400 S. Zang Blvd., 15th Floor, 75208) from 7 to 9 a.m. Bring $2, business cards, brochures, and a door prize to be given away. The event is sponsored by the Oak Cliff Chamber, the DeSoto Chamber, the Southeast Dallas Chamber, the West Dallas Chamber, the Hispanic Chamber, and the Dallas Northeast Chamber. For more info or to RSVP, contact the Oak Cliff Chamber at (214) 943-4567.

  1. i find an interesting dichotomy (or even worse, hypocrisy) in your writings.

    (1) on one hand you like to bash "liberal" politics but on the other you engage into a personal concern regarding the maintenance of county medical clinics. surely, as a republican that espouses budget prudence and fiscal responsibility you understand that tough cuts need to be made. further, let's hope that your opinion isnt grounded in some personal advantage that you or your family has with respect to county medical service. for the record, are you a "liberal bashing" republican making use of these government-driven services? i sure hope not.

    (2) again as a "liberal bashing" republican, i notice that you discuss the merits of keeping business in oak cliff. surely, your not supporting or advocating a loose form of "protectionism" which happens to align itself quite eloquently with the "liberals" that you like to bash.

i respect your opinions and applaud your willingness to put your voice out there however i find it disingenuous that a "republican" like yourself would beat down liberals but then seemingly engage into their mode of thinking when it best benefits you.

sadly, that sir would make you a hypocrite.

    ghost pirate out.
